The project was carried out in six work sprints over a year and a half. The group of three business executives was taken through the entire journey of the IDeA Framework methodology in a hybrid workflow with four immersive face-to-face meetings and monthly online follow-up meetings with Stratega’s consultant.

IMPACT FROM BEGINNING TO END
In its strategy journey, the group synthesised opportunities for reinvention, built a portfolio with six new strategic domains and defined an action plan to implement practices and processes that incorporate the production of ‘green steel’.
The steel chain is responsible for up to 11% of CO2 and 7% of all GHG originating from human activities, and it is with this impact in mind that the executives defined the following actions and changes to be implemented on the production line: use of electric trucks and trailers in the factory, use of natural gas in the furnaces, installation of waste dehydrators, among other initiatives.
Having identified the actions and planned their implementation, the company intends to incorporate these practices into one of its plants in Brazil by 2024, monitor the impact of these actions and fulfil the forecast return on investment in five years.
Stratega's support from start to finish was crucial. We already had a general idea of what we wanted to do, but the application of new lenses and strategies greatly expanded the possibilities for creating value."
